A: No, however a donation of $2.00 is accepted, this helps defray meal costs the donation is voluntary.

Q: What if I can’t afford, or don’t wish to donate for a meal?

A: Meal donations are voluntary, and no senior will be turned away.

Q: How is Bakersfield Senior Center Funded?

A: Bakersfield Senior Center acknowledges Aging and Adult Services of Kern County and the City of Bakersfield as the funding organization for the Senior Nutrition Program.

Q: What time is lunch served?

A: 11:45am - 12:15pm

Q: If I come after the lunch serving hours can I have a meal?

A: Only if the day's meal is still available.

Q: Is this a Residential Facility and how many room are there?

A: No, it is not a Residential Facility, it is a Community Active Adult Activity Facility or Center.
